REVEREND HONKABEE

The Mouthpiece of Zeal

Once a small-town preacher with a flair for drama, Honkabee discovered he could gain more influence not through faith—but through fear dressed as prophecy. He began preaching to cameras instead of congregations, blending scripture with nationalism, and slowly morphing into a “divinely appointed advisor” to those in power. Now, he believes his every opinion is God’s whisper, and that disagreement is rebellion against heaven itself. He realized he could run for office, and push his religious views on everyone else, so he has. Having ran for office in a state with less people than many Duckiverse cities, he has way more power than he should in proportion to the amount of citizens he represents. He never goes anywhere without his Flag Lapel Pin.

Catchphrases:

  • “I don’t preach politics—I preach truth… which just so happens to vote red.”

  • “I don’t speak for me. I speak for Him.”

  • “This isn’t politics—it’s prophecy.”

  • “The Lord anointed this duck. Who are we to question it?”

REVEREND HONKABEE

Distortion: Divine Exceptionalism & Sanctified Control
Origin Story (Bio):

Born Horace Honkabee in a small southern bayou town, the young hippo was raised in the echo chamber of fire-and-brimstone sermons and barbecued righteousness. His father was a preacher. His grandfather was a sheriff. And little Horace was taught early on: control is compassion, and authority is divine.

He learned to quote scripture before he could spell his own name. But the verses he clung to were always the ones about obedience, wrath, and “God’s chosen.” Somewhere along the line, the gospel became a means, not an end. He realized early: if you wrap a command in a Bible verse, most folks won’t question it.

After losing an election for junior mayor of Quackridge (due to an affair with a possum choir director), he rebranded—not as a politician, but as a pastor. He started a megachurch called The Swell of Salvation, complete with neon crosses, patriotic choirs, and live-streamed sermons that somehow always circled back to tax cuts and duck-based marriage.

But behind the sermons, Honkabee brokered backroom deals, pushed surveillance laws “in the name of virtue,” and built a media empire that called every critic a demon. He didn't just want power—he wanted blessed power. Unquestionable. Divine.

Now, Honkabee spends his days warning of moral collapse, labeling enemies as “godless,” and collecting donations through fear. But behind the hymns and handshakes lies a dangerous truth: Honkabee doesn’t serve God. He serves control. And he’s weaponized the pulpit to sanctify distortion itself.

Likes:    Applause that feels like worship, private jets called “mission tools,” selectively quoting ancient scrolls, being invited to important war councils, calling his critics 'lost.'

Dislikes:    Humility, doubt, nuance, historians, actual ducks who read the whole Bible.

Signature Moves:

🕊️ The Anointed Shield:

Deflects all criticism by framing it as blasphemy.

🔥 Holy Wrath Broadcast:

Delivers a long televised sermon that sounds like spiritual truth but ends in a political endorsement.

🧪 Sanctify the Scheme:

Blesses obviously unethical actions by declaring them “part of a higher plan.”

Bonus Lore:

  •  Secretly tries to manipulate events in the background to bring about the end times

  • Is Christian in name only. He has no problem bombing, or hurting people who are "others" to him.
