PAM

The Unhappy Hypocrite

Pam sees herself as Ducktown’s unthanked caretaker — the one quietly holding everything together while others fail to meet her standards.

She thrives on unspoken obligations and emotional ledgers, always keeping track of who’s "fallen short" while presenting herself as endlessly patient. The more control she quietly exerts, the more victimized she feels.

Pam never sees herself as the problem — only as the one forced to constantly fix what others refuse to handle. She often blames others for tensions she created, projecting her frustrations outward while presenting a calm, composed face. She'll write annonymous complaint notes to herself, and then forget that she did so. When she discovers them she blames someone else thinking they wrote them about her.

Behind every sigh is a private rewrite of reality where Pam emerges as the exhausted martyr, burdened by everyone else’s incompetence.

Ducktown’s residents have learned: if Pam says “it’s fine,” you’re probably in trouble.

  • Keeps mental lists of grievances

  • Blames others for tensions she herself creates

  • Projects her own negligence or control issues onto others

  • Quietly spins narratives where she’s always the exhausted victim

  • Subtly rewrites events to favor her emotional frame

  • "If things were done my way, we wouldn’t be in this mess…"

Catchphrases:

“"It’s fine… I’ll just do it myself.

"If you respected me, you'd just do it."

"I hate being the only one who cares."

PAM

Distortion: Emotional Ledger Hypocrisy
Origin Story (Bio):

Pam has always kept score — not with points, but with grievances.

In her early years, Pam mastered the art of quiet control. She wasn’t loud. She wasn’t hostile. She was “concerned.” Every minor inconvenience was carefully logged into her invisible emotional ledger.

In Ducktown, Pam quickly rose to unofficial authority in the Community Oversight Board — a group no one remembers actually voting for. She and Lana team up often.

She specializes in "kind reminders," guilt-layered favors, and heavily sighing whenever someone inconveniences her perfectly planned routine.

She avoids conflict publicly but weaponizes discomfort privately.
"I'm not mad… I'm just disappointed."

Behind closed doors, her anxiety and need for control fuel an endless cycle of micro-complaints, victimhood narratives, and subtle manipulations that leave everyone around her walking on eggshells.

Likes: Group texts where she can monitor everyone’s replies, quiet martyrdom, anything involving the HOA, dramatic sighing, Subtly competitive “friendships”, complaining, Weaponized wellness quotes

Dislikes: People relaxing, imperfection, shared responsibility, boundaries (when applied to her), direct conflict, People “not pulling their weight” (by her definition), being called out, apologies that aren't worded exactly as she wants, "letting things go", admitting she's wrong (never has happened, but she'd dislike it if she had to)

Signature Moves:

🗞️The Spiral Directive:
Sends a 3-paragraph text explaining why something minor is now your fault.

🫂The Eternal Sigh:
Releases a perfectly timed sigh that silently transfers guilt onto anyone nearby, making them feel like they’ve failed her again.

🙁The Disappointed Disarmament: Ends arguments by declaring how exhausting everyone else is.

Bonus Lore:

  • Once created a secret spreadsheet ranking the Ducktown bake sale team by "effort levels."

  • Was briefly banned from HOA leadership for over-enforcement, but claims it was "a misunderstanding."

  • Keeps multiple private group chats where she vents about the same people she smiles at publicly.
